In the middle of a metal mountain, a giant black metal city sat between the mountains. It was one with the mountain range.
From afar, it looked like the city was in the middle of the mountain. It was a strange sight.
The two metal mountains that were over a thousand meters tall were only the two gate pillars of the huge city. The two metal gates in the middle made people feel insignificant, as if they were even smaller than ants.
Han Sen could see the sign above the gate. It said, "Metal Giant God City." It was written in the language of the geno universe. Every word was powerful, and it looked as if it could tear the sky and the earth apart.
Looking at the giant metal city that looked like a beast, Han Sen frowned and said, "This is a giant city. Even the Giants wouldn't need to build something this big."
Kahn quietly said, "The Giants are one of the top ten higher races. Many years ago, they were a branch of the Breakskies. Because the Breakskies had low fertility, they went extinct. They were replaced by the Giants, who had the blood of other races. We suspect that this giant city was the home of a deified Breaksky elite."
After pausing, Kahn went on to say, "When we went in, we found some text, carvings, and decorations that were related to the Breakskies.
We were able to confirm that this was the city of the Breakskies.
But the strange thing is that the city looked as if it had just been through a battle.
It was badly damaged, but we didn't see any bodies in the city.
We didn't see any living creatures."
Everyone talked as they walked. Soon, under Kahn's lead, they arrived at a collapsed wall on the left side of the giant city.
The gate to the city was closed, and it looked as if it had never been opened. No race had the power to open it. Fortunately, most of the wall had collapsed. Otherwise, entering the city would have been a problem.
If they wanted to enter the city from the sky, it would be even more unreliable. How could a creature that could create such a huge city not think of this?
Han Sen saw a camp on the other side of the collapsed wall. Judging by the style of the camp, he could tell that it belonged to different races. The Buddha, the Dragons, and the Destroyed had different styles.
But when Han Sen and the others reached the collapsed wall, they didn't see any guards from the other races.
"Strange. It doesn't look like they're here. Could this be a trap?" White Truth said as he looked at the camp inside the wall.
The camp inside was very messy, but it didn't look like it had experienced a battle. It just looked like the people inside had left in a hurry and didn't have time to take away many things.
"It's not a trap. There really is no one here," Yuya said.
Han Sen led his people into the camp and searched it. There was no one there, not even a single living thing. But there was a lot of supplies that had not been taken away, and that included a lot of life-sustaining geno fluids.
"It looks like they left in a hurry. They didn't even take all the life-sustaining geno fluids with them." Han Sen looked at Kahn.
Kahn naturally understood what Han Sen meant. He pondered for a moment and said, "Last time, during the blue storm, we came here to investigate. The Dragons were still here, but after the red storm, they are gone. I'm afraid they made a big discovery in the ruins, so they didn't even have time to pack up and went deep into the ruins.
What kind of discovery made them leave in such a hurry? "
"Maybe they didn't find anything," Yuya said. "Maybe something happened and they had to leave."
"That's possible, but we didn't find any signs of a battle." As Kahn was thinking, he suddenly stopped.
It wasn't just Kahn. Han Sen's face changed, too. They looked outside the big city.
Pairs of blood-red eyes appeared in the sky outside the city. Then, they saw monsters that looked like dragonflies, but their bodies were made of bronze. They were over five meters tall and were flying in the sky outside the city. When they flapped their wings, they made a buzzing sound.
There were so many dragonflies that it was hard to tell how many of them there were. They covered the sky, and they were heading for the gap in the wall.
"What's going on?
This is still the time of the blue storm. Why are there metal xenogeneics here? "Yuya looked at Kahn.
"I don't know. I've never seen metal xenogeneics appear during the blue storm. And even during the red storm, they don't come close to this big city. Oh, no! Let's go!" Kahn shouted. He led the Demons into the ruins.
Han Sen and Yuya looked at each other. They led the Sky Palace students into the ruins as well.
The dragonflies were no weaker than Marquises, and there were so many of them. If they fought them head-on, they'd have to pay a heavy price.
Sky Palace and the Demon Marquises retreated into the ruins. Kahn led the way, and as he walked, he shouted, "There is a palace up ahead. Let's go inside and hide."
Han Sen and the others had already seen it. The palace was like a mountain, and even a blind man could see it.
But the door to the palace was closed. They might not be able to push it open.
"I've been here before. There is a gap in the palace. Let's go in and block it. If the metal creatures come in, they'll be killed," Kahn said, and then he ran towards the side of the palace.
Han Sen's face did not change. He led the Sky Palace students to follow Kahn. There, they saw a hole in the wall that looked like a fist. It was the shape of a fist.
The metal xenogeneics were coming, and there was no time for hesitation. Kahn and the other Demons led the way.
Han Sen and Yuya led the Sky Palace students into the palace, too. When they entered, they saw the metal xenogeneics coming for them like dragonflies.
The Marquises guarding the entrance released a godlight to kill the two metal xenogeneics that were approaching. Then, a Demon Marquise summoned a giant shield to block the entrance.
The shield made a lot of noise, but the metal xenogeneics were unable to enter.
Han Sen quickly looked around the palace. His eyes froze. Inside the room that looked like a side hall, there were a few dead bodies. There were Buddhas and Dragons. Their deaths were all very gruesome.
Their scales and skin had been removed, but their bodies were still intact. Blood was everywhere on the ground, and it was a chilling sight to behold. Even Han Sen, who was used to seeing bloody scenes, felt a little uncomfortable.
